Great news for secondary families! Beginning May 1, 2026, the Boise School District is launching Rank One, a new, easier way to submit student athletic and required PE physical forms - all in one convenient place.

This new system will replace the previous process and will serve as the primary location for submitting participation paperwork moving forward.

In addition to simplifying physical form submission, Rank One will also provide families with convenient access to team schedules, participation documents, and important athletic communications in one place - making it easier to stay informed throughout the school year.

Who needs to submit forms in Rank One?

Rank One registration is required for:

    • All 7th grade students who need to submit a physical for athletics or participation in PE
    • All 9th grade student-athletes
    • All 11th grade student-athletes
    • Any student participating in school athletics (grades 7–12)
    • All Summer School P.E. participants (Register through your home school)

Families should submit physical forms directly in Rank One - not at the school office.

Already have a current physical on file for the 2026-2027 school year

    Families of 2026-2027 8th, 10th, and 12th grade student-athletes will need to:

    1. Log in to Aktivate
    2. Download their student’s current physical- Watch Video
    3. Upload it to Rank One during registration

How to register in Rank One

    Beginning May 1:

    1. Go to the Rank One login page
    2. Select Add Student
    3. Enter your student’s Date of Birth and Student ID number
    4. Select Start Forms
    5. Upload your student’s physical and required participation documents

Helpful parent tutorial video is available to guide you through the process.

Boise School District Activities & Athletics

Welcome to the Activities and Athletics information page! This section is designed to make it easy for you to find the information about athletics and student activities in the Boise School District. Below, you’ll find quick access to essential programs, resources, and tools to help you stay informed, involved, and connected throughout the school year and beyond.

The Boise School District has always been highly regarded for academic achievements. At the same time, we have always been considered a leader throughout Idaho and the Pacific Northwest in the area of athletics. Many of our programs have become models for other districts.

We do not measure our success through wins and losses - we strive instead to offer an enjoyable experience to our young people. These opportunities provide educational experiences to our student athletes in an equal opportunity environment.

Elementary Programs

  • 5th and 6th grade boys and girls are offered basketball and track.
  • Over 2,300 students took part in these elementary programs last year.
  • Very few school districts offer elementary activity programs and we feel these programs are an important part of our overall educational program.

Junior High Programs

  • Activities beginning each fall include cross country, football, 7th grade tennis and volleyball.
  • Winter activities include wrestling and boys and girls basketball.
  • Spring brings 8th & 9th grade tennis, track, 7th grade volleyball, and Idaho's only junior high golf program.
  • More than 250 coaches are involved in our junior high programs. They have solid backgrounds in coaching and take great pride in providing enjoyable and educational experiences for our young athletes.

High School Programs

  • 200 coaches are involved in our 12 athletic programs at the high school level.
  • Our highs schools are members of the powerful 6-A Southern Idaho Conference. Each year the S.I.C. dominates the list of state champions and the Boise School District's 4 high schools are always high on the list of possible state winners.
  • Fall programs include cross country, football, soccer, golf and volleyball.
  • Winter activities include wrestling and boys and girls basketball.
  • Spring sports offered are baseball, softball, track, and tennis.
  • Each year numerous graduates of our programs go on to compete at the college level and several now compete professionally.

High School Club Sports

  • Lacrosse, ice hockey, and skiing, are examples of highly popular activities offered through high school clubs and organizations.
