Boise School District is launching a comprehensive Long-Range Facilities Master Planning process—and we’re inviting our community to be part of it. This important effort will serve as a roadmap for future school facility investments, ensuring our buildings continue to support high-quality learning environments while aligning with current and projected enrollment. As Boise continues to evolve, thoughtful planning today will help ensure our schools are ready for tomorrow.
Community Feedback Event – April 2, 2026
Community members are encouraged to attend a public feedback meeting focused on the District’s Long-Range Facilities Master Planning process:
Location: Timberline High School Cafeteria, 701 E. Boise Ave., Boise, ID
Date: April 2, 2026
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
This is a general invitation to the entire community, including parents, teachers, students, and district patrons.
Your perspective matters. The feedback gathered will directly inform the development of the District’s 10-year Long-Range Facilities Master Plan.
Together, we can shape a plan that reflects our shared values and supports student success for the next generation.
We hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Boise School District

Dear Les Bois 9th Grade Students, Parents, and Guardians,
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, all 9th-grade students at Les Bois will have an opportunity to participate in the PSAT 9, a test offered by the College Board that helps students get early feedback on their knowledge in the areas that matter for college and career readiness. The cost of the test has been covered by the district so that all students may participate. The test will be administered during school hours.
What is the PSAT 9?
The College Board develops and administers standardized tests and curriculum to promote college readiness, including SAT, AP, and PSAT testing. Research shows that on average, students who score well on the SAT have been exposed to at least three College Board tests. The PSAT 9 is designed to expose 9th grade students to SAT-style testing and identify areas the student needs to work on. When a student creates an account with College Board, the system will store and track student scores on all College Board tests they take. Test scores from the PSAT 9 are shared with the student on their College Board account. Test scores for the PSAT 9 are not made available to colleges.
Test Day Details
The test will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and will start promptly at 8 a.m. Students who arrive late will not be able to participate in the test. We appreciate your efforts to avoid scheduling appointments that would require your child to leave school during this time. Students will take the test in their advisory classrooms.
TVMSC 9th Grade Students
TVMSC students will be at Les Bois ALL DAY on Wednesday, April 15, for testing. This absence will be excused at TVMSC. They will resume their regular schedule on Thursday, April 16.
Timberline 9th Grade Students
Timberline students will attend afternoon classes as usual. Absences in Les Bois classes will be excused.
Test Preparation
What to bring on the day of the test:
- A charged district-issued Chromebook and charger is required for the test. If your student does not have theirs they need to get a replacement from the library before test day. The charge must last for three hours.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child's participation in the PSAT 9 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at angela.hagans@boiseschools.org.

Blazer Parents!
Get ready for things to get a little... fluffy. The Les Bois Hope Squad is on a mission to break the Alternative Book of World Records for the World’s Largest Marshmallow Fight!
While it sounds like a sugary free-for-all, there’s a much bigger heart behind the haze. We’re hosting this event to shine a light on Mental Health Awareness. At Les Bois, we know that sometimes just "showing up" is the hardest part of the day. We want our students to see that when Blazers show up for themselves and each other, we change the world.
The Game Plan
-
When: April 17th (The perfect way to decompress after a long week of testing!)
-
Where: Behind LBJH
-
The Goal: To officially pelt each other with kindness (and sugar).
We Need Your Help (and a LOT of Marshmallows!)
To claim the title, we have a very specific—and very large—goal. We need to collect 2,026 lbs of marshmallows. To put that in perspective, that is roughly 142,102 regular-sized marshmallows!
How you can help: We are looking for donations of unopened bags of regular-sized marshmallows. If every family grabs a bag (or five!) next time they're at the store, we’ll hit our record-breaking goal in no time.
Let’s show our kids that supporting mental health can be loud, messy, and incredibly community-driven. Let’s make some history, Blazers!

Sleep Awareness Week always follows Daylight Savings Time. It reminds us that there are plenty of ways to try to make falling asleep easier for ourselves and our kids. The amount of sleep you get has been shown to directly affect your mood. People who don’t get enough sleep are more likely to feel symptoms of depression than those who get enough sleep. Here are some things to try if your child is having a hard time falling asleep: Make sure the room is dark (use room darkening shades on windows if needed), cooler room temperatures allow for better sleep, white noises like fans can help block out sounds that might keep them awake. Resist giving tablets, phones or allowing them to watch TV within an hour of bedtime as the blue light tells their brains to stay awake. Using the same routine each night for pajamas, brushing teeth, reading books, etc. helps a child’s brain start the process of winding down for sleep. If you’ve tried all of these things and they are still struggling with sleep, talk to your child’s provider about other options. There is almost nothing better for overall health than getting enough sleep for your body.
